The 3rd Annual Workshop: St Petersburg

The 3rd ICPC Nanonet Annual Workshop was held at the St Petersburg Hotel on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May, 2011.

Organised by St Petersburg Electrotechnical University and coinciding with their 125th Anniversary celebrations, this workshop focused on Nanotechnology for Biomedical and Ecological Applications and brought  together experts and stakeholders from the EU and each of the eight ICPC regions: Africa, Caribbean, Pacific, Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Latin America, Mediterranean Partner Countries, Western Balkan Countries.

The 2nd Moroccan Days on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

Participants at the 2nd Moroccan Days on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology held in Fes from 16th to 17th June 2011 had the opportunity to hear about the support tools to networking and collaboration that they can access through ICPC Nanonet, thanks to aninvitation by its organizer Professor Izeddine Zorkani (Directeur du Laboratoire de Physique du Solide) from the Faculty of Sciences Dhar el Mehraz. ICPC Nanonet was represented by Dr Ineke Malsch of Malsch TechnoValuation.

Nanomaterials for Biological Applications

The ICPC-NanoNet project stimulates global networking in nanoscience and nanotechnology. This online workshop on ‘Nanomaterials for Biological Applications’ enables nanoscientists working in this field to meet and find out about each others expertise, infrastructure and research interests.

The invited speakers include Prof M. Eswaramoorthy, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, Prof. Chandrabhas Narayana, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore and Prof. D. Bahadur, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.  The prospective audience consists of nanoscientists specialising in materials and their applications from India and International Cooperation Partner Countries to the EU (emerging economies and developing countries).
